1942-2005 Celebrating Over 60 Year
Established as the Biersach and Niedermeyer Company in 1873, we began manufacturing sirens and control systems in 1942, after being awarded the contract to manufacture sirens for the Dept. of the Army. Over 2000 sirens were produced to be installed in the Pacific Theater for our Troops and Air Bases.

Since that time, American Signal Corporation has manufactured a wide array of warning siren equipment and radio control accessories for Civil Defense, Emergency Management, Industrial and Nuclear Plant Safety, and Military Disaster Preparedness.

American Signal Corporation continues to support Alerting Communicators of America (ACA) sirens and outdoor warning equipment. ACA sirens have been in the field for over 20 years and facilities that have used ACA equipment have had little to no service required. These sirens were designed to last 15-25 years, and in our experience we've found the average life of an ACA capacitor is 15 years before they leak or dry out.

American Signal Corporation recommends the Penetrator™ P-10 & P-15 single phase sirens to replace start and run capacitors. We understand the high quality of the ACA Penetrator™ P-10 & P-15, Banshee™ B-10 & B-15, Cyclone 50 HP and Screemers™ 2,5,7.5 HP, each of which have proven to outlive their expected lifespans. In addition, American Signal provides AC/DC options, direct replacements, upgrades and new technology for all ACA equipment. Our services will help any mass notification and loud speaker equipment grow and adjust to the demands of the market.

American Signal Corporation, originally known as ACA or Alerting Communicators of America has been designing and manufacturing warning systems and providing clients with turn-key installation services for almost 60 years. In 1982, we became the first company in the industry to provide a wireless digital supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system called CompuLert™ with over 6000 installations world-wide. The advancements in the siren designs include battery operation, high powered Voice/Sirens, indoor alerting systems and with the experience in the wireless field, American Signal has the expertise to meet virtually any warning system project goal.

Our engineering and system specialists work hand in hand with clients to assist in the development of the project scope, so that we understand and are able to meet the goals of our clients. Our client base includes municipal governments (Village, Town, City, County and entire Countries), industrial facilities, and military bases. When our clients make the decision or commitment to provide their constituents or employees with emergency notification, whether natural disaster or man made, American Signal can take you from start to finish.
