Siren Systems Homeland Security

People are at risk from disasters, whether natural or human in origin, we have taken action to save lives, reduce losses, speed up response, and reduce human suffering by providing accurate warnings in a timely manner. Effective dissemination of warnings provides a way to reduce disaster losses that have been increasing in the recent years.
The terrible events of September 11, Katrina, Asian Tsunami of 2004, and the growing need of improving safety at our Universities have forever changed our approach to security and early warning. These tragedies have also reinforced that the most important responsibility of the government is the physical safety of its citizens. Also fresh in our minds are the constant weather systems impacting lives and property such as tornadoes, high winds and flooding. Local communities and governments have a responsibility to their people to warn of any threats so they can prepare and find safety. With this challenge the local governments need helping hands and helping solutions.
Liability issues make it problematic for private entities to originate warnings. Public entities typically cannot afford to duplicate private dissemination and distribution systems. Effective warnings should reach, in a timely fashion, every person at risk who needs and wants to be warned, no matter what they are doing or where they are located.

industry to provide a wireless digital
supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
system called CompuLert™ with over 6000
installations world-wide. The advancements in
the siren designs include battery operation,
high powered Voice/Sirens, indoor alerting
systems and with the experience in the
wireless field, American Signal has the
expertise to meet virtually any warning system
project goal.
Our engineering and system specialists work
hand in hand with clients to assist in the
development of the project scope, so that we
understand and are able to meet the goals of
our clients. Our client base includes
municipal governments (Village, Town, City,
County and entire Countries), industrial
facilities, and military bases. When our

emergency notification, whether natural
disaster or man made, American Signal can take
you from start to finish. We can coordinate
efforts from needs assessments, acoustical
surveys and technical proposals, to radio
system back-bone studies, installation and
