Tempest T-135-AC SirenTM

T-I35-AC siren is the world's most powerful siren.
The T-l35-AC™siren is a 135 dB rotational directional siren designed for large urban and rural communities and nuclear power plant Emergency Planning Zones. Because the T-l35-AC™is the world's loudest siren, it will cover the same radial area as four (4) 127 dB sirens, and reduce the number of sirens and associated installation and maintenance costs necessary for your community.

Features:

  • World's Most Powerful Siren

  • Rotating Directional Design (360° coverage.)

  • 135 dB Output at 100 ft. per FEMACPG-I-I7.

  • Covers over 9,000 foot radius— 9 square miles—@ 70 decibels.

  • Coverage equal to (4) 127 dB rated sirens—most coverage per dollar.

  • Standard 3-tone, signals, local test, and cancel.

  • Rugged, Long-Lasting Fiberglass Construction.

  • Center Weight Counter Balanced.

  • Three-Phase Power.

  • Saves on installation and maintenance costs.

  • 5 Year Siren Head Warranty.

  • Over 20 years of excellence in community alerting.

System Design
The Rotational T-l35-AC™Siren utilizes aluminum sound-producing components which are covered in color-impregnated fiberglass to eliminate rusting and painting maintenance. Sirens are mounted directly over the center mounting poles so that guy wires are not required. The T-135-AC™are the world's largest sound-producing sirens capable of covering over 9.9 square miles. In comparison, the 125-128 dB at 100 ft.-rated sirens cover 2.2 to 3.1 square miles (a 4 to I ratio), making the T-l35-AC™ siren very cost effective for large area warning signals.

Activation
The T-l35-AC™can be activated by using landlines (hardwired relays) or by radio controls. Various encoding formats allow for tone activation of multiple siren signals. Two items are required: an encoder at a central dispatch location, and a Universal Remote Terminal Unit (U-RTU) mounted at the siren location. The U-RTU is interfaced with the MC-35-3 Siren Motor Control. American Signal manufactures a complete line of radio controlled systems.

Installation
The T-135-AC™should be mounted 65' to 75' above ground level per FEMA CPG 1-17 and for maximum sound dispersion. Controls should be mounted 10' to 15' above ground to discourage vandals.

American Signal Corporation, originally known as ACA or Alerting Communicators of America has been designing and manufacturing warning systems and providing clients with turn-key installation services for almost 60 years. In 1982, we became the first company in the industry to provide a wireless digital supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system called CompuLert™ with over 6000 installations world-wide. The advancements in the siren designs include battery operation, high powered Voice/Sirens, indoor alerting systems and with the experience in the wireless field, American Signal has the expertise to meet virtually any warning system project goal.

Our engineering and system specialists work hand in hand with clients to assist in the development of the project scope, so that we understand and are able to meet the goals of our clients. Our client base includes municipal governments (Village, Town, City, County and entire Countries), industrial facilities, and military bases. When our clients make the decision or commitment to provide their constituents or employees with emergency notification, whether natural disaster or man made, American Signal can take you from start to finish. We can coordinate efforts from needs assessments, acoustical surveys and technical proposals, to radio system back-bone studies, installation and service/maintenance contracts.
In our new production facilities we have the ability to respond to customer lead time requirements quicker and with more consistency than our competition and we would welcome the opportunity to respond to you.
